Requirement
Display the ENQUIRE WITH US button in the category page of selected commerce categories in SCA webstore for Thermogard.Essentially, the enquire button will be for a particular category of items but is not limited toone category of items if that makes sense.Eg we would want the enquire button for Water Packs, but then also for Soak Pads – foritems that we don’t carry stock or have a custom range etc.So if we could have the functionality to add this to any category, that would probably bebest. We will need this across all subsidiaries.
Our Solution
We will create a checkbox in the commerce category record named “ENQUIRE ENABLED”.Based on the value of this checkbox, we will display the commerce category page. If this checkbox is checked, then we will display a section with the button “ENQUIRE WITH US”. In this case, sub categories and items in that commerce category will not be displayed in thecategory page. “ENQUIRE WITH US” button navigates to the “Get in touch”page.If this checkbox is not checked, then the category page will be displayed as default. Is, theitems and the subcategories of that commerce category will be displayed.This functionality will be achieved as an extension and will be implemented in all the 3domains of the website.We assume, the custom field values of the commerce category record is available by default.If this value is not available by default, then we will have to create a search and get this fieldvalue in the webstore category page.
