We can print the body level discount at the line level in the print PDF template.
There is a preference for Print Discount and Shipping Lines in Column available in the account. If we enabled the Print Discount and Shipping Lines in Column feature at
Setup > Company > Printing & Fax > Printing & Fax Preferences >Print Discount and Shipping Lines in Column.’
If we enable the feature, then the discount will be applied before subtotal calculation. Otherwise, the discount is applied after the subtotal calculation in the PDF template.
This is used to show discount and shipping items with descriptions as line items in transaction columns.
So if we only require a body level discount and that does not need to be added on the Item line, then we can Disable this preference
Line level discount:
The line-level discount is applied to the previous individual line item.
Body level discount:
The body level discount is applied to the subtotal.
