Saved Search to Show Who Created and Approved a Journal Entry

  1. Navigate to Lists Search Saved Searches New
  2. Click Transaction
  3. Search Title: Name it as desired
  4. Click Criteria subtab
  5. Click Standard
  6. Filter:
    1. Select Type
    2. Click Add
      1. Type: Select any of
      2. Type: Select Journal
      3. Click Set
    3. Select Posting
    4. Click Add
      1. Posting: Select Yes
      2. Click Set
  7. Click Results subtab
  8. Click Remove all
  9. Field:
    • Select Date
      • Summary Type: Select Group
      • Click Add
    • Select Period
      • Summary Type: Select Group
      • Click Add
    • Select Type
      • Summary Type: Select Group
      • Click Add
    • Select Document Number
      • Summary Type: Select Group
      • Click Add
    • Select Created By
      • Summary Type: Select Group
      • Click Add
    • Select Formula (Text)
      • Summary Type: Select Maximum
      • Formula: case when {systemnotes.type} = ‘Change’ and {systemnotes.newvalue} = ‘Approved for Posting’ Then {systemnotes.name} else null end
      • Custom Label: Write Approved by
      • Click Add
  10. Click Save & Run
