Lead Status

Select the status a lead should automatically have when a lead record is created. On a Lead record, you can change the status by selecting a different one in the Status field. To create a new status, go to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses > New.

Prospect Status – New

Select the status assigned to a new prospect record. This status is assigned to leads that are converted to prospects and to new prospects. You can change a prospect’s status by selecting a different status in the Status field on the prospect record. To create a new status, go to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses > New.

Prospect Status – Opportunity

Select the status assigned to a prospect when an opportunity is created for the prospect.

You can change a prospect’s status by selecting a different status in the Status field on the prospect’s record.

To create a new status, go to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses > New.

Preferred Prospect Form

Select the form you want to be selected by default when entering a new prospect record.

Prospect Status – Quote

Select the status assigned to a prospect when an estimate is created for the prospect. You can change a prospect’s status by selecting a different status in the Status field. To create a new status, go to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses > New.

Customer Status

Select the status a customer should automatically have when a customer record is created. On a Customer record, you can change the status by selecting a different one in the Status field. To create a new status, go to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses > New.

Standard Sales Roles

Select the level of restriction you want to assign to standard sales roles by default:

  • Unrestricted – can view and edit any records or transactions the role has permission to view.
  • Restrict Editing Only – can view but cannot edit the records and transactions assigned to other sales reps. Editing is restricted to records and transactions assigned to each sales rep and their subordinates.
  • Restrict Editing and Viewing – cannot view or edit the records or transactions assigned to other sales reps. Editing and viewing are restricted to records and transactions assigned to each sales rep and their subordinates.

Restrict By Transaction Sales Rep Only

Check this box if you want sales reps to see transactions for customers they are assigned to only if they are the sales rep selected on the transaction.

If you keep this box clear, each sales rep can see all transactions for customers he or she is assigned to, even if he or she is not the sales rep selected on a particular transaction.

Default Quote Expiration (In Days)

Enter the default number of days an estimate is open after its creation. You can change the expiration date for an estimate.

Default Sales Effective Date To Linked Sales Effective Date

Check this box if you want the sales effective date on credit transactions to default to the sales transaction is created from. If you clear this box, the sales effective date is set to the transaction date. For example, if you check this box, when you create a refund from a cash sale, the sales effective date from the transaction is set by default on the refund.

Consider “Starts With” Matches In Lead Conversion

Check this box if you want contacts and lead, prospect, or customer records to be considered potential duplicates when converting leads. Select the form you want to be selected by default when entering a new lead record.

Select the form you want selected by default when entering a new lead record.

Forecasts

Navigation > Set up > sales preference >Forecests

Calculate Forecasts As Weighted

Check the box to have forecast key performance indicators weighted according to probability. Forecasts that are not weighted include the total of all transactions regardless of probability. Weighted forecasts include a percentage of the total for opportunities and estimates based on the probability of those transactions.

Forecast Quarterly (Vs. Monthly)
Low Forecast Name

Check the box to forecast sales and establish quotas by quarter instead of by month. This affects the period of time you can view and edit forecasts for at Transactions > Quota/Forecast > Edit Sales Rep Forecast and the default time period for the Sales Forecast by Sales Rep report.

Low Forecast Name

Enter the title your company uses for the lowest forecast category

Medium Forecast Name

Enter the title your company uses for the middle forecast category.

High Forecast Name

Enter the title your company uses for the highest forecast category.

Default Forecast Type

Enter the title your company uses for the highest forecast category.

Use Quotes In Forecast

Choose the forecast type that is selected by default on estimates and opportunities.

 Multiple Projected Amounts

Check this box if you want to include estimates in your sales forecast.

Forecast Accuracy (Weekly View)

Check this box if you want to enter multiple projected amounts on opportunities and estimates.

These projected amounts determine the amounts that appear in your company’s sales forecast

At

Select the day and time of the forecast you want to show in the weekly view of your forecast accuracy reports.

You can set this preference to coincide with a weekly deadline that you set for your sales reps to save their forecasts.

Allow Setting Status In Forecast Editor


Check this box if you want to allow sales reps and managers to adjust the statuses of opportunities when saving forecasts.
