Step1: Creating a new property will be the initial step, so it is essential to get Administrator access in account level. Once you have created a property, you will need to create a data stream. A data stream is a collection of data that is sent to GA4. You can create a data stream for your website, mobile app, or both.
Step2: If the website uses GTM (Google Tag Manager), the website must link with GA4, using GTM and if the website uses .gtag, the script should be added in the backend of the website.
Step3: Once the website GA4 code has been verified on the website the next step is to start data configuration.
Following above steps, we have to move forward to finish steps in GA4:
Review and update data configurations
Evaluate your existing UA configurations, such as filters, goals, custom dimensions, and custom metrics. Check if they are still relevant in GA4 or if any adjustments or replacements are needed. GA4 provides new features like enhanced measurement, which may require different setups.

Set up conversions
Once you have created a GA4 property and data stream, you will need to set up conversions. Conversions are actions that you want your users to take on your website or mobile app. For example, you might want your users to sign up for your newsletter, make a purchase, or download your app.

Update event tracking
GA4 focuses on event-based tracking. Review and revise your event tracking strategy. Identify the key events you want to track and ensure that they are implemented using the GA4 event tracking methodology. This may require updating your website or app code.

Migrate audiences
If you have any audiences created in Universal Analytics, you will need to migrate them to GA4. Audiences are groups of users that you have created based on their interests, demographics, or other factors. You can migrate audiences manually or by using a Google Analytics integration.

Validate your conversions
Once you have added users and migrated audiences, you will need to validate your conversions. This means making sure that the conversions that you are tracking are accurate. You can validate your conversions by using a Google Analytics testing tool. These events will appear only after 24 hours.
Import conversions into Google Ads for bidding
If you use Google Ads, you can import your conversions from GA4 into Google Ads for bidding. This will allow you to use your conversion data to set your bids and optimize your campaigns. We can also manually add Google Ads account to GA4.

Verify data accuracy

After implementing the GA4 tracking code and configuration, thoroughly test and validate the data being collected in GA4. Compare it with the data in UA to ensure accuracy and consistency.
