There may be situations where a NetSuite user changes their mobile phone or updates their mobile phone number, which can present difficulties when attempting to obtain an OTP (One-Time Password).
Here’s what to do:
Option 1: Backup Code is available.
- On the user’s Home Dashboard (Click the Home Icon on your interface), look for Settings Portlet.
- Click Reset 2FA Settings
- Enter your current password
- Click Send Code
- Click Reset
Option 2: Use the User Access Reset Tool.
If you do not have your back up codes with you or you do not have the old phone anymore you may ask your administrator or co-administrator in helping you update your 2FA setting by following these steps.
- In an Administrator role or a role with Core Administration Permissions (CAP), go t Setup > Users/Roles > User Management > User Access Reset Tool (Administrator).
- On the User Access Reset page, enter the email address of the user who requires your help.
- Check the Reset 2FA Settingsg check this box to reset (or clear) the user’s settings for 2FA. The user will be prompted to enter new 2FA settings after the next login to NetSuite with a 2FA required role.
- lck Save.
Reset.
Note: Please make sure to secure a copy of your backup codes to prevent your account from being locked out.
