An Access Token is an authorization that’s used by a client application to access an Application Programming Interface (API) or a resource application within a limited period. Using Access Tokens, you can access SuiteAnalytics Connect Service which lets you archive, analyze, and report on NetSuite data. You can use a third-party tool or a custom-built application on any device that uses Windows, Linux, or OS X operating system.
Scenario
The customer wants to create his own access token for his administrator role that he will use for SuiteAnalytics Connect.
Solution
To create an access token for Administrators. The user must follow these steps:
1. Go to Home > Settings Portlet
2. Select on Manage Access Tokens
3. Click the New My Access Token Button
4. Input the Application Name and Token Name (auto-populated)
5. Hit Save.
6. Take note of the Token ID and Token Secret.
NOTE: It is not possible for an administrator to create an administrator access token for another user. One can only create their own.
