Commission

The commission module Incentives Compensation feature for the company to use the commission by the standard.

After enabling the incentive commission module we can set up the commission preference in our Netsuite Account.

Setup> Sales> Sales Mangement> Commission

Using the Employee Commission Feature

Set up> Company> Set up task> Enable features. The feature is on the employee subtab (Administrator)

These preferences determine how and when we pay employee commissions and affect all commissions set up in our NS account.

  • Create Employee Commission Schedules

Forecast > Commissions > Employee Schedules > New (Sales Administrator).

Commission schedules define the rules that determine how commissions are calculated. Schedules can be based on total sales, percentage of quota met quantity sold, total profit, or profitability.

  • Create and assign Employee Commission Plans

Forecast > Commissions > Employee Plans > New (Sales Administrator).

Employee commission schedules are placed in commission plans that are assigned to our sales reps. We can include multiple commission schedules in a single plan and we can assign more than one sales rep to a plan. We cannot, however, assign a sales rep to more than one commission plan for the same date range.

  • Commission overview reports

The Commission Overview report is a comprehensive summary of information found in other commission reports. It is available to employees assigned a salesperson role or higher.

  • Commission pending authorization summary or detailed reports
  • Authorized commission summary reports
  • Commission on A/P aging reports

(NS generates a commission amount based on the cash sales or invoice that meets the commission criteria.)
