Resolve Error “You do not have permission to perform this operation” When Accessing the Cases Link from a Custom Center Category

Scenario

There is an existing Cases link when creating a Custom Center Category. This link is set for the Cases Center applied to the Support Center roles. The permission error “You do not have permission to perform this operation” will be prompted if the center assigned to the role is not Support Center.

If User creates another link named as Cases, the existing one could be selected thus resulting to the error. To resolve this, make sure to select the correct Cases link that was created. 

Solution

1. Navigate to Customization > Centers and Tabs > Center Categories
2. Preferred Custom Center Category: Click Edit 
3. Click Cases link
4. Click Remove
5. Click Add Row
6. Link: Select Cases
7. Click Add
8. Click Save
