The client’s requirement is to restrict the view of the subsidiary in the subsidiary navigator. For example, if an employee who is working in a UK subsidiary should only see the parent subsidiary and the UK subsidiary in the navigator. Other subsidiaries should not be visible to the employee. We can do this by customizing the staff role.
Consider the scenario of a company have parent subsidiaries with child subsidiaries as the following:-
- Australia
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- United States – East
- United States – West
- Elimination subsidiary
The subsidiary navigator for the administrator will looks as in the below:-
Now if a employee who is working in the United kingdom subsidiary only wants to see his mapping, follow the steps below:-
- Customize whichever the role is
- Give Accessible subsidiary as selected
- And select the subsidiary as “Parent Company” and “Parent Company: United Kingdom”.
- Save the custom role
- Give access to the employee for customized roles.
- Login to the corresponding employee login
- Check the subsidiary navigator, it will look like as seen in the below screenshot
