A filter needs to be added in the transaction saved search for the posting period. The standard field (period) is available. But in this field, we can specify a particular posting period.
So a formula field should be used to add the posting period filter.
In the search criteria add the following formula
Formula(Text) – in the formula select field {postingperiod} contains for the contains value enter a space
And then in the available filter add the formula(Text_ field. Give the custom label as Posting Period.
So on the result page, you can enter the period name in the field. The name should be entered in the same format as you have set your accounting period names. Ex: Oct 2022, Dec 2022, etc.
If this format needs to be changed, then change the format in the formula itself.
