Set Document status of Estimate( Quotes)

Scenario

When we make a copy quote the document status of the new quotes is automatically set as processded .

The following are some exceptional cases where in the quotes documents status automatically become processed.

Below are the conditions that will result in an Estimate Document Status of Processed

1. When a Sales Order is created from the Estimate record
2. When an Opportunity from which the Estimate is created is set to Closed-Won
3. When an Opportunity from which the Estimate is created is set to Closed-Won or Closed-Lost and the Opportunity has expired
4. When the Estimate has a Probability of 100% with or without an Opportunity attached.

For Estimates that are linked to Opportunities, be aware of the following points.

• If the Opportunity linked to the Estimate is edited and the status is changed:
  • to Closed Won (Probability is equal to 100%)
    • Estimate Document Status will be Processed
    • Opportunity Document Status will be Closed-Won
  • to Qualified or any status (Probability is 1-99%)
    • Estimate Document Status will be Processed
    • Opportunity Document Status will be Issued Estimate
  • to Closed-Lost (Probability is equal to 0%)
    • Estimate Document Status will be Processed
    • Opportunity Document Status will be Closed-Lost
• However, if the Expected Close Date of the Opportunity is a past date (expired) and the Status is changed to Closed Lost
  • Estimate Document Status will be Open
  • Opportunity Document Status will be Closed-Lost.
