Upselling Preference in NetSuite

Requirement – While writing an order, when a salesman enters a product, is there an option to give salesman option to add accessories for those products?

Solution –

The upsell wizard in the sales order can be used for this purpose.

The upsell items are displayed in the upsell wizard in the following ways

  • The Netsuite creates correlation values between the items based on the purchase history of the customer. Then the upsell wizard displays items that have a positive correlation with the selected Item.
  • Or the upsell wizard shows the related items as upsell items. These items can be manually selected and set in the item records and can be selected from the Sales Order.

But to get the related items available on the item records, need to enable the ‘Website’ feature.

With this feature enabled, we can add related items in the Item record (Under the ‘Webstore’ tab, related Items subtab).

And set the upsell preference (SetUp->Sales ->Upsell Preferences) to show only the related items in the Upsell wizard

And upon creating the Sales Order, we can select these related items by clicking on the ‘Upsell Items’ button. Please find the screenshot below.
